How It Works

IPL Photorejuvenation uses a non invasive laser that provides broad-band light to the skin. Pigment inside the skin absorbs the light and the skin breaks these cells down to reveal a clear, even complexion.

How long are the appointments?

We know your time is important! We try and keep high tech facials to 30-45 minutes.

What is the downtime?

Patients may experience a “snapping” sensation (often referred as snaps of an elastic band) with each pulse of light. The treatment is not painful, however, you may experience a sensation of diffused heat as the applicator glides over the skin. Comfort interventions are very rarely required.

How long before you see results?

Over the next 3-14 days, this irregular pigmentation will darken and come to the surface before peeling off to revealing an even complexion. Depending on the amount of pigmentation you may need additional treatments to fully fade dark spots.

Maintaining your results

We recommend treatment every 1-2 years to maintain results and address new pigmentation that may arise with sun exposure and time.

Treatment details

At your intake appointment, you and your laser technician will discuss the treatment, its benefits, and your goals. We’ll take a photo (which will remain private) to help track your skin journey at Pure Glow.
